Dr. Horn is a committed animal lover and an award winning equestrian.
As of March 2023 Dr. Horn is the proud founder, owner, and lead veterinarian of Aristide, Inc. a Professional Veterinary Corporation.
At Aristide, Inc. she will provide your pet with the best possible mobile veterinarian services. She believes in a whole body approach to your pet’s wellness.
Dr. Horn graduated in March 2010 from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany.
In July of 2017 Lena received her doctoral degree (magna cum laude) from the Free University of Berlin in Germany for her thesis “Ultrasonographic Biometry of the Growing Equine Eye and Examination of the Diseased Cornea High Frequency Ultrasound and Ultrasound Biometry”. Dr. Horn presented her scientific publications at international specialist conferences, and the results of her research have been widely cited and have a major impact in the field of high resolution imaging in veterinary ophthalmology.
Dr. Horn previously worked as a veterinarian (small animal and equine medicine), freelance translator and advisor in France, Germany and the USA (California).
Since 2018, she has been a member of the editorial board and holds the role of veterinary advisor for the prestigious magazine POLO+10.
Dr. Horn completed the program of the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates ® (ECFVG) in 2021 and fulfilled the licensing requirements of the Veterinary Medical Board of California.
Dr. Horn is fluent in English, German, French, and proficient in Spanish.
In her free time Dr. Horn enjoys cuddling with her two rescue Siamese cats, walking, cooking, and spending time in nature.
